Lamentations 3:24-25

“The LORD is my portion,” says my soul, “Therefore I have hope in Him.” The LORD is good to those who wait for Him, to the person who seeks Him.

Isaiah 43:1-3

“Do not fear, for I have redeemed you; I have called you by name; you are Mine! When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and through the rivers, they will not overflow you. When you walk through the fire, you will not be scorched, nor will the flame burn you. For I am the Lord your God, the Holy One of Israel, your Savior” ~ Isaiah 43:1b-3a
Cry Out To Jesus
September 15, 2007 by Administrator.
All of us have at one time or another been brokenhearted for a number of reasons. As Christians, when our hearts are broken is when we draw closest to the Lord Jesus. When all is well in our lives we tend to forget why we need the Lord. Read here what the Bible says about the brokenhearted in Psalm 34:18-22 NASB:
The LORD is near to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit. Many are the afflictions of the righteous, but the LORD delivers him out of them all. He keeps all his bones, not one of them is broken. Evil shall slay the wicked, and those who hate the righteous will be condemned. The LORD redeems the soul of His servants, and none of those who take refuge in Him will be condemned.
There is refuge in the Lord. Though the wicked may not suffer as much as the righteous during life, they will suffer eternally in their condemnation. Our crushed spirits must only lean on Him or else we have no protection. He keeps our bones from being broken and saves our hearts. Cry out to Jesus. He is our only isle of hope.
Great Are You Lord

I stood in a beautiful chapel last week with three hundred other professing Christians. There was a dome ceiling and the floors were made of marble. The chapel was shaped like a cross. These factors made the acoustics of the sanctuary unbelievable. The service began and we were led to sing, “Great Are You Lord”. This song’s musical arrangement has never been very impressive to me, but the lyrics are excellent. We sang and our voices carried throughout the chapel. Upon singing the chorus for a third time, the pianist stopped and we sang a cappella. When we sang, “Great are you Lord, Great are you Lord”, nothing could be heard but our voices. Our praise filled every crevice of the sanctuary and then expanded in decibels. I trembled as we sang. For a brief moment, I could imagine what it would sound like singing before God’s throne as He sits robed in majesty and honor. Multiplying this sound thousand upon thousands of times in my imagination was breathtaking. I imagined seeing hundreds of millions, perfectly sanctified children of God, and millions of angels, all singing in unison to our Lord. In that split second, I had just a faint idea of our praise to God in heaven. Then I longed, pined, yearned to be there… singing, “Great are you Lord”!
Cries Against Injustice (Part 2 of 2)
June 30, 2007 by Administrator.
There are really two sides to this topic: In part one, the point was brought up about the unjust acts have we committed. Have people cry out to God about our actions that were unjust? However, does not God hear us as well? Here are some verses to observe:
“For He will deliver the need when he cries for help, the afflicted also, and him who has no helper.” ~Psalm 72:12 NASB “Because I delivered the poor who cried for help, and the orphan who had no helper.” ~ Job 29:12 NASB
“May He vindicate the afflicted of the people, save the children of the needy, and crush the oppressor.” ~ Psalm 72:4 NASB
As we read, the Lord has not forgotten His children. You may feel like you have been oppressed and treated unjustly; yet you may rest assured that the Lord has seen all things. We should not glory in the falls of our foes, but glory in the Lord. We may never get to see justice come, but indeed we have a God who is greater than all things. As followers of Christ, we have the Creator as our Shield and Defender.

Old Ends & New Starts
December 31, 2006 by admin.
The year of 2007 is on our doorstep. Sometimes I wonder why God has made time to travel so quickly. Does time fly because we were created to live much longer, but sin has corrupted that lifespan? Is the Lord being merciful to us so that we won’t have to live through hundreds of years of pain and sin? Or was God just tired of enduring hundreds of years of sin from every individual? Either way, time is fast. When I look back on this year, I see a year of waste. I haven’t seen spiritual growth and I battle new and old things against the flesh. I wish I could be rid of every sin and have a clean start. New year resolutions won’t help me conquer the flesh. Only self-spiritual-discipline and turning to Christ in every matter will make me separate myself from the old. I long for the day when I get to heaven and can feel free from the continual battle with the flesh. There is no way for me to clear up old ends and make a new start. Yet, that doesn’t give me an excuse to give in. It means I must press on. Why? Christ has commanded and I have a short time-frame to do it in. So get busy. We only have this quick life to do our best for Jesus Christ
Stage Curtain of Waves
December 6, 2006 by admin.
There are many times in your life when all you see is the bad that is happening. Yet, all the time we don’t see what is going on behind the stage curtain of the world’s tempestuous waves. The Lord works primarily out of our simple eyesight doing great and mighty things. The world is not home. I long to be anywhere the Lord resides. Sometimes all I see is sin, wickedness, and total evil. I see the government abusing the rights of Christians; I see the schools shut down any discussion of God; I see the lost fake Christianity as if they knew what it meant; I see the believers conform; I see the fundamentals of the Bible tossed aside; I see my own faith daily challenged. But in all these things, I find my comfort in the Lord. I turn to my strong tower. I flee to the only isle of hope in my despair: the Lord Jesus Christ.
